February Student/Alumni Spotlight – Catherine Moya


Catherine Moya is a Harvard Alumna, earning her Bachelor of Liberal Arts (ALB) with an emphasis in Psychology. She gradutated cum laude and on the Dean’s list. Moya is also the author of the book, “When Did I Change.” She is pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Psychology at Harvard University, Extension School. Moya has also received a graduate certification in Human Behavior. She has been accepted to the Ph.D. program in Business Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, starting in Fall 2025. Her research focuses on understanding the balance between individual traits and environmental factors influencing productivity, job satisfaction, and overall workplace health.


An emerging thought leader in workplace psychology, Moya brings over two decades of corporate experience across traditional and remote work environments. She integrates practical insights with academic research to address the complexities of workplace dynamics and mental health. Her work centers on understanding how individual traits and environmental factors influence productivity, job satisfaction, and overall workplace health.


Moya’s research delves into the effects of organizational culture, team dynamics, technology, and work-life balance on employee outcomes. She also explores the challenges of remote work, such as loneliness and its links to depression and suicidality, particularly among employees in smaller households. By identifying effective strategies to support remote employees, her research aims to foster healthier and more sustainable workplace practices.


Using mixed methods—including surveys, interviews, and observational assessments—Moya develops actionable insights for businesses to reduce turnover, enhance job satisfaction, and improve performance. Her dedication to creating supportive and efficient work environments positions her as a rising leader in workplace psychology, shaping the future of organizational well-being and productivity.
